    Chemical property

    1. Warm heating with lithium in ether yields n-butyl lithium.

    2. Co heating with potassium ethanol yields ethyl butyl ether.

    3. Co heating with bromine and iron yields 1,2-dibromobutylene.

    4. Boil with magnesium and a small amount of iodine for several hours to obtain octane, and if the reaction is carried out in toluene, 4-butyl toluene is obtained.

    5. Heating at 550 ℃ yields only n-butene, but heating at 450 ℃ in the presence of calcium chloride yields cis-2-butene and trans-2-butene.

    6. Coheating with antimony pentachloride yields 2,3-dichlorobutane.
