Doxycycline hydrochloride CAS24390-14-5  is a semi synthetic tetracycline antibiotic that can penetrate cell membranes and bind to 30S ribosomal subunits, interfere with tRNA/mRNA interactions, and ultimately inhibit protein synthesis. As a broad-spectrum antibiotic and antibacterial agent, this antibiotic mainly has strong resistance to bacteria that cause respiratory infections, including Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. In addition, it can also treat infections caused by Chlamydia, Rickettsia, and certain spirochetes, and has antigenic and insecticidal properties.
