    Nitrobenzene CAS 98-95-3 , an organic compound, also known as dense spot oil or bitter almond oil, is a colorless or slightly yellow oily liquid with a bitter almond flavor. Difficult to dissolve in water, with a higher density than water; Easily soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, and oil. When exposed to open flames and high heat, it will burn and explode. Reacts violently with nitric acid. Nitrobenzene is obtained by nitration of benzene through a mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and as a raw material for the production of aniline. Used in the production of organic synthesis industries such as dyes, spices, explosives, etc.

    Application

    Nitrobenzene is an important organic intermediate. Nitrobenzene is sulfurized with sulfur trioxide to obtain m-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid. It can be used as an intermediate temperature and oxidant for dyes and as an anti dye salt S. Nitrobenzene is sulfonated with chlorosulfonic acid to obtain m-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride, which is used as an intermediate in dyes, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. Nitrobenzene is chlorinated to obtain m-nitrochlorobenzene, which is widely used in the production of dyes and pesticides. After reduction, m-chloroaniline can be obtained. Used as a dye orange based GC, it is also an intermediate in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fluorescent brighteners, organic pigments, etc. Nitrobenzene can be re nitrated to obtain m-dinitrobenzene, which can be reduced to obtain m-phenylenediamine. It is used as a dye intermediate, epoxy resin curing agent, petroleum additive, and cement accelerator. If m-dinitrobenzene is partially reduced with sodium sulfide, m-nitroaniline can be obtained. Orange based R is an intermediate of azo dyes and organic pigments.
