This product is a white to light yellow block or powder that turns into a transparent, light yellow liquid after heating and melting. Easily soluble in dichloromethane or toluene, insoluble in water or ethanol. The melting point is between 66 ℃ and 72 ℃.

Application

Hydrogenated soybean oil is commonly used as lubricant for tablets and capsules, with a concentration of 1-6%. It is often shared with talc powder, and can also be hot melted in liquid paraffin and spray on dry particles; It can also be used as an auxiliary adhesive in tablet production.

Hydrogenated soybean oil is a commonly used framework material in lipophilic controlled release formulation systems and can also be used as a coating adjuvant in controlled release formulations.

Hydrogenated soybean oil can be used as a viscosity regulator for oily liquid formulations or semi solid formulations. In some high-end ointment formulations, stearic acid can be replaced to form a more delicate paste.

Hydrogenated soybean oil can slow down sedimentation, avoid uneven distribution of formulations, and improve the solidification process in the preparation of composite formulations with significant differences in specific gravity.

Hydrogenated soybean oil can also be used in liquid and semi solid fillers for gelatin hard capsules.
